Students from Lakota Central meet monthly with students from Creekside Elementary to create friendships that connect and inspire.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our mentoring program, Cubs. This initiative is designed to foster growth, development, and collaboration within our school body, as well as Creekside ECS. The Cubs program pairs our high school students with Creekside K-2 graders to provide positive relationships, support, demonstrate appropriate social skills, and fun.
Mentors will serve as positive role models, promoting communication skills, kindness, and a supportive environment. Each mentor will be paired with a mentee based on, interests. Mentors and mentees will meet monthly. Mentees will share their talents with Creekside Cubs, participate/lead in games, and help mentees express emotions in positive ways.
We believe that this program will not only help create meaningful relationships and build social skills but also provide our Central Cubs with an opportunity to develop their leadership skills. Students have voiced their love for the program, and their excitement is palpable – our Creekside Cubs are jiggling with joy!
