Principal Message 3/15

Principal Message 3/15

Hello Central Families-

We hope you are well and got a chance to soak up the sun this week. We certainly tried to both soak up the sun and soak up these amazing moments with our students. This week we worked through more schedule verification, welcomed MANY new wonderful students, presented at Light Up Lakota-where we explained the reasons we love the art program and the individualization at Central, earned credits and industry credentials and some people graduated. We had Big Cub Little Cub and taught the little cubs the value of play as a means to reduce stress and laugh. The week was packed full of celebrations, encouraging moments, and opportunities to become our best selves.

Next week, we will meet with seniors to make sure they understand what is happening with graduation as well as what they need to do both academically and logistically to have the best May 13th ever. We will meet with them on Thursday of this week. If underclassmen still have verification sheets, they need to turn those in ASAP. Additionally, this is a reminder that Tuesday is election day in Ohio, so students do not have school. They will not be required to do virtual minutes that day, but do need to complete virtual work all the other days as normal. Lastly, Lakota begins Spring Break next Friday, March 22nd (we will have a virtual day), which will run through March 31st with our first day back being April 1st. It will be no joke that day, despite it being April Fool's Day.

April gets us into Spring testing, so be on the lookout for more information on that.

Have a great weekend, we look forward to seeing our students on Monday. Happy St. Patrick's Day and Ramadan Mubarak!
